SYNOPSIS: A protocol for genotyping Mgmt-/- mice from ear punches or tail clippings. The Mgmt gene codes for O6-alkylguanine DNA alkyltransferase, which converts mutagenic O6-methylguanine lesions in DNA to guanine by demethylation.
